Lake Fork Anglers every other week Thursday daytime tournament for Apr 13 where the water was at the right temperature for a April spawn with the full moon being yesterday but a funny thing happened on the way to the beds. The bass have mainly already spawned, it rained and the lake came up 2 feet, and the carp are over running the banks....everywhere.
So while there were a few biggies caught most members just caught the usual 12-13-14-15's.
32 anglers fished.
Most of the fish were caught on drop shots, and c-rigs and square bills again.
Only the five largest count.
Boaters:
First Place Angler went to Galen Smith with a 5 fish bag of 12.14 lb anchored by a 4.68 boater lunker.
Second place went to Ray Carter with 3 fish coming in at 9.70 with the 7.68 lunker.
Third place went to Jack White with a 5 fish at 8.68 lb with the 3.62 lunker.
Fourth place went to Brian Dick with a 8 fish bag at 8.18 with a 3.02 lunker
Co-Anglers
First place went to John Berech with a 2 fish limit of 7.98 lb with the 6.77 lunker.
Second place went to Paul Spann with a 3 fish for 7.10 with the 3.95 lunker.
Third place went to Gene Shoemaker with a 6.4 lb on 5 fish with a 1.92 lunker.
Fourth place went to Robert Gaylor with 4 fish for 5.18 with a 1.72 lunker.
96 fish were caught that counted.

Dues is $5 a year. Tournaments are $12 with an optional $5 lunker pot and an optional $10 big bag pot.
In 2016 the LFA fished 25 times, You have to fish at least 8 to maintain membership. And you have to fish 8 times to be eligible to fish our other two formats: Major league Fishing (known as Hard Core) and the team format known as Faze 4.
