Cooler weather is on the way and that's what we need to get the good bite going here on Lake Fork. The fishing has been on the slow side lately, but I believe things are going to really pick up as the water cools down.
I love Fall fishing, the lake isn't as crowded and big bass are feeding up. The good news is the fishing continues to get better the colder it gets for me. My customers catch more big bass during the cold months than any other time of year.
October is a good month to catch fish in shallow water. I've already been catching a few good bass shallow, and normally the average size of what we catch goes up as the water temperature goes down. My customers can look forward to using some fun techniques like throwing oversized swimbaits, big topwater lures, spinner baits, etc.
If you are thinking about a trip to Lake Fork I encourage you to come, and please give me a call if I can help in anyway. Visit my website to see up to date pictures and reports. You can also "Like" my guide page on Facebook to keep up with what we catch on a nearly daily basis.

Here are some of the nice fish my customers and I have boated recently. There are a few photos that were taken when I was out scouting as well.
