Big Bass are starting to show up all over the lake, for all the bed fisherman you will continue to see beds in many areas continue to load with healthy males and females. last nights front would have pushed some of the big females off the bank! secondary points going into creeks are a good place to throw a finesse bait or a square bill crank bait! Primarary source of forage will be shad this time of year. Keep your eyes open for bass busting shad. I would be throwing a top water walking bait this time of year in the morning and the slowing down with a Carolina rig or a slow falling wacky worm. Big thing to remember is that these bass are in constant transition so try not to get stuck waiting around an area for to long. move around a lot and cover water! and Remember if it looks like a shad they will probably eat it! I will be focusing on subtle break lines and secondary points to try and catch post spaw, staging and pre spawners. remember they all dont spawn at the same time so be versitile!
For anyone interested in a guided adventure I have a few spots opn in May and would love to take you fishing!
hook sets are free, and have fun
