March 13th the Williams Creek Crappie Club will host a 5 hour Mini Crappie Academy starting at 9:00 AM. This event will include a light lunch. Cost to attend is $15.00 per member or $25.00 for husband & wife together. Non member cost is $25.00. This mini academy will cover everything from crappie basics to what you're going to need to know to catch crappie in 2021. There will be some free giveaways along with a raffle for a 9' Crappie Combo. You can request a seat by email or sign up at the door. Check-in starts at 8:30 AM with coffee.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Mar. 3)

FAIR. Water lightly stained; 47 degrees; 0.06 high. Largemouth bass are fair on spinners, crankbaits, and jigs near deep points, roadbeds, brush piles, timber, and rocky shorelines. White and yellow bass are fair with slabs and jigging spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in 28-45’ near bait schools in the main lake. Catfish are slow on punch bait and cut bait in 12-30’.
