Lake Fork Anglers Results for June 11th out of the SRA park

It was a great morning. Hardly any wind and the bass were biting pretty darn good.. Drop shots, c-rigs, wacky rigs and shaky heads and won the day.

 

All fish 10" and up count as well as slot fish. Only their best 5 count.

 

Boaters

 

First Place went to Charlie Abresch of Hawkins with 7 bass for 12.20 LB. with a 3.46 LB lunker.

Second Place went to Galen Smith of Alba with 5 bass for 11.31. with a 4.87 LB lunker.

Third Place went to Dennis Bubinas of Lake Fork with 5 bass for 10.91 LB with a 4.68 LB. linker

Fourth Place went to Don Overstreet of Sulphur Springs with 5 bass for 10.30 LB. with a 5.08 LB. lunker

Fifth Place went to Curt Blount of Lake Fork with 10 bass for 9.94 LB and a 3.31 LB lunker.

Robert Gaylor of Lake Fork caught the boater lunker of 5.71 LB.

 

Co-Anglers

 

First Place went to Randy Fugate (welcome back) with 4 bass for 12.45 LB. with a 4.68 LB. lunker.

Second Place went to Gary Gilmore of Ennis with 6 bass for 11.81 LB. with a 3.46 LB lunker.

Third Place went to Don Cox of Garland with 3 bass for 10.87 LB. with the co-angler lunker of 6.89 LB.

Fourth Place went to John Berech of Garland with 3 bass for 9.77 LB. with a 4.87 LB. lunker.

Fifth Place went to John Shinn with 6 bass for 8.50 LB. with a 6.17 LB. lunker.

 

The amount of keepers was 103 with 4 less anglers and only 2 skunks today.

 

The LFA fishes every Thursday except T-Day and Christmas on 2 different formats. A 5 fish limit we call LFA and a MLF style format where every fish counts we call Hard Core, 3 special tournaments and an end of year dinner. We are a club of 50+ seniors (Mostly) and are very liberal on members being for off vacations and medical issues.

Lake Fork Fishing Report from TPWD (Jul. 1)

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 83-85 degrees; 0.39 low. Largemouth bass are good on blue plastic worms, bladed jigs and crankbaits near drop-offs,windy points, grass lines, and humps in 8-22’. Topwater plugs and plastic frogs are productive early in grass patches and lily pads. White and yellow bass are good in deeper water of main lake points, flats, and humps. Crappie are excellent on jigs and minnows in 18-25’ in brush piles and standing timber. Catfish are good on cut bait and live bait in 10-20’.
