This weather just will not give us a break, not much has changed since my last report. We are still getting pounded with rain, and the weather forecast is showing that by tonight we are going to be down in the 20's and very cold for most of this week, and there is no worst conditions than cold stained to muddy water. Basschamps had a team Tournament here yesterday 1 bass took first place but a good one a 10.28 congrats to winner, only 14 5 bass limits were weighed in out of 264 teams and 159 teams Zeroed, that was one tough! day on the lake. On the bright side after this front that's coming, the weather will rebound fast, right now I would say we are about 10 days out from the start of our best spring fishing. Right now it is still very slow for numbers, anyone who is catching numbers is fishing a power plant lake not Lake Fork. The first bass over 13 pounds for this year was caught in 2 to 3 foot of water in Glade Creek this past week, so that shows you no matter how tough the fishing is right now your next cast could be a bass of a lifetime here on Lake Fork.

Right now lipless Crank Baits, Suspending Rogues, Jigs, and Chatter Baits, these baits will produce some big bass this time of year. The bass we have been catching have come from mid-lake to the dam on main lake and secondary points. After this crazy weather gets out of here and we get back into a warming trend you can look for the bass to start moving on the beds, and with the lake full I think we are going to have a lot of big bass caught this spring! If your thinking about guide trip Mid March, April, May, June, are prime time and book up fast, so book early for best available dates, if I am booked on the day you won't to go I can book you with one of the full time guides that work with me.

Good Fishing,
David Vance
