Because Life is Better at the Lake

First Responder's Lunch

by
Williams Creek Crappie Club

Williams Creek Crappie Club  had it's first “First Responder Free Lunch” on June 10th at the Alba Volunteer Fire Station. We fed 35 First Responders and were able to get some lunches out to the Game Wardens working the Skeeter tournament. We fed 18 of our members that was working the event and made 10 To Go orders for a total of 63 lunches. We were ready to serve 100, so that was pretty good. The club had put out some collection jars around the area to collect some money “To Fill a Fire Truck” and with that money and what was donated the day of the event we were able to present Shawn Newland (Alba Fire Chief) with $500.00 to thank them for hosting the event. All of his guys and our club members did an outstanding job.

Again we want to say Thank You to all our First Responders for the job they do !
