I have spent more than a quarter of a century helping people in East Texas with their goals in real estate. It is amazing what I have seen and been through. So much has happened over this time that I wish I had written a book about the journeys and the experiences I have had in selling real estate. I've always believed that success comes from two simple principles: honesty and hard work. My career in real estate illustrates the truth of this philosophy. From breaking records in my first year as a sales agent to building a multi-million-dollar real estate company from the ground up, I am driven to lead with integrity and outwork everyone else. As the founder of Lone Star Realty, I collaborate with an exceptional group of agents to showcase and sell a stunning array of waterfront and residential homes, farm and ranch properties, and rural tracts of land in more than 19 counties across East Texas. Since Lone Star Realty's humble beginnings as a home-based company in 2003, it has grown into a network of four offices with collective sales reaching nearly $800,000,000, including more than $150,000,000 I have personally brought in. Buying or selling property represents a major transition, and I strive to help customers feel confident as they achieve milestones and realize long-held dreams. As a trusted guide, I connect with clients and understand their priorities throughout the process, from narrowing down initial options to negotiating the final purchase. Recognized by the Greater Tyler Association of Realtors for my industry acumen, I served on GTAR's committees for 11 years before being elected Chairman of the Board in 2015. I have also been nominated as a Five Star Real Estate Agent by my past clients. Although I've lived and breathed real estate for nearly three decades, I started on a very different path. After graduating from the University of Texas in 1974 with a degree in Advertising, my wife Barbara and I left Austin for East Texas in 1980. In 1985, we laun

Fishing Report from TPWD (Apr. 30)

GOOD. Water Stained; 73 degrees; 0.21 feet below pool. Shad spawn is decent in the early morning with diesel chatterbaits and small spinnerbaits on points with birds. Flukes and wacky rigs are good around grass and the edge of grass in 1-3 feet. Work topwaters over the bass guarding fry in the pockets. Report by Marc Mitchell, Lake Fork Guide Service. Black bass are post spawn and the top water bite is on! Frog patterns are working in the shallow vegetation. The crappie are moving shallow, small clousers are producing well. Large bream have moved shallow, wooly buggers are producing good fish. Channel catfish are cruising 2-4 feet biting clousers. Report by Guide Alex Guthrie, Fly Fish Fork Guide Service. Crappie fishing is settling into the post spawn and summer patterns we should see for the next few months. We are seeing incredible numbers of small black crappie right now loading up on brush piles, lay downs, bridges and docks. The larger black crappie are a little hard to find but you can find some nice groups of them or pick a few out of the smaller fish. The bigger white crappie are beginning to load on the summer pattern trees. We have a tremendous amount of fry covering up a lot of those trees and making it very hard to see those bigger white crappie on forward facing sonar or for them to see your bait. You can find fish in 10-30 feet of water and some may only be 2 feet under the surface or right on the bottom. Minnows and any colored jigs are both producing extremely well. Report by Jacky Wiggins, Jacky Wiggins Guide Service.
