Lake Fork Anglers (LFA) Bass Fishing Club Tournament Results: 6/27/2024




LFA Tournament – All Bass 10 inches and over count towards total weight scored.

34 Members fished today with a total of 105 bass caught and released, including four lunkers over 5 lbs.

Pretty good catching day in spite of the high temperatures and high humidity

Winning Anglers
1. Galen Smith with his best 5 Bass @ 19.11 lbs.
2. Dennis Bubinas with 4 Bass @ 16.99 lbs.
3. Bill Ailes with his best 5 Bass @ 14.65 lbs.
    Big Bass:  Robert Gayler @ 6.89 lbs.

Winning Co-Anglers
1. C.J. Riffle with 4 Bass @ 11.40 lbs.
2. Tom Black with 2 Bass @ 9.05 lbs.

The Lake Fork Anglers (LFA) tournaments are two-person catch and release tournaments held every Thursday. 

Two club tournament formats are rotated weekly.  

  • LFA – best 5 Bass over 10”
  • Hard Core – all Bass over 10”

Members are mostly seniors, with membership  open to all persons who are physically able to fish and function

Fishing Report from TPWD (Sep. 10)

GOOD. Water cloudy to clear; 85-90 degrees; 0.91 feet below pool. Early and late bass topwater bite around grasslines and isolated cover on main lake and secondary points. Try frog and mouse patterns for topwater. Bass are beginning to school, a hard-bodied popper should work well. Bream are shallow, try small hoppers.
