If you're looking for an enjoyable evening on December 6th, visit the Hopkins County Historical Society's Heritage Park. We attended Saturday, November 30th and it was the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit. Entrance to the park is $3 per adult and children under 7 are free. The park is filled with Christmas lights. The blacksmith was doing demonstrations and free hot chocolate was being served in the log cabin. You can also find Santa in the log cabin and snap a picture with the kids. The chapel had Christmas bell music and the Atkins house had dulcimer music as well as free cookies and punch. You could even roast marshmallows and hear stories in the old school house. The old general store also has unique toys and items for the kids as well as many old antiques.
