Its big bass time here on Lake Fork. This is my favorite time of year because we usually catch a big fish or two every day out here. The pictures below are from my last 3 days out. Don't be mistaken, this is not the time for numbers. There are plenty of other guides that leave Lake Fork to carry their customers to nearby power plant lakes for decent numbers of small fish. However, if you are looking for a big fish Fork is your best bet!
Right now we are catching a few fish each day, but the size of the average fish is bigger. I have two patterns going at this time. I'm targeting ledges in 6-20' of water with jigs and heavy shaky heads. I'm also fishing crankbaits in 4-7' when conditions are right and catching some really nice fish.
