Go Fish Anglers brings anglers together for friendly competition through individual and team tournaments. All formats follow a catch, record, release approach: fish are measured using a Check-IT Stik, recorded, and immediately released, with estimated weights determined using the TPWD Length to Weight Chart. It's a way to enjoy the competition and camaraderie of tournament fishing while keeping the fish in the water.
First cast is one hour before sunrise. Fishing ends at noon when temperatures reach 90°F or higher; otherwise, fishing continues until 2:00 PM. We gather afterward for tournament results at W. C. Swearingen Recreation Area in Yantis.
