Lake Fork Anglers Suspending Tournaments Until the Virus is declared beaten

Charter member of the Lake Fork Sportsman's Association and founder of the Lake Fork Anglers Bass Fishing club. Lives on the shores of Lake Fork in the Hideaway subdivision in Garrett Creek. Has also lived in Quitman and Yantis before moving to Emory. Lives with wife Cheryl, former pro bass fishing lady and fire fighter.

Due to the current situation with the virus we have suspended our tournaments for now because most of our members are seniors and about half of them come from counties that have restrictions.

We encourage our members, when and if they can to just “go fishing”.

When they declare this threat beaten we will continue our every Thursday tournaments.

Lake Fork Fishing Report from TPWD (May 27)

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 77 degrees; 0.27’ high. Largemouth bass are good on red, purple or black plastic worms, topwater and crankbaits near roadbeds, submerged structure, and points in 8-12’ and with some action with plastic frogs in shallow grass and lily pads. White and yellow bass are good in deeper water of main lake points, flats, and humps. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows in 12-20’ in brush piles. Catfish are good on cut bait and punch bait in 8-20’.
