LFA Tournament – A member’s best 5 bass 10 inches and over count towards total weight scored.
31 Members fished today with a total of 75 bass caught and released, including three lunkers over 5 lbs.
Cloudless skies and little to no wind contributed to difficult fishing conditions. During the so-called "dog
days" of summer, anglers feel the heat, and so do the fish. When the water gets hot, bass are no
different from the rest of us; they seek out any opportunity to escape the boiling water. They are still
catchable of being caught, but more difficult to find. While some struggled to put numbers in the boat,
those that found them today did well.
