Fishing Report

The lake is approximately five feet low. There is plenty of submerged timber so running tight to the boat lane is a must. Outside the lane, I would advise idling or trolling motor. Safety can't be stressed enough.
While there are still scattered spawning fish the post spawn bite is on. We have been fishing secondary points near the spawning areas. There is a good early morning top water bite until around 9:00 a.m., depending on the cloud cover. Our best bites have been coming from small popper baits and shallow running split-back swim baits. We then switch to shaky heads rigged with creature baits and fishing tight to wood in the same area of our top water bites. By mid day we begin to Carolina rig and crank baiting humps and road beds.
If you are making plans to fish Lake Fork and you need a professional guide, it would be my pleasure to take you out for some fun and great fishing. Please visit my website or give me a call at 903-473-9520 to schedule a trip.
Until the next fishing report, "Have fun, catch fish".
